Kathy is a well connected member of the Tucson community. Kathy has ran her own small businesses in the Tucson area for nearly ten years. Her most recent undertaking, Dunn Right Printing, is a printing company that provides customers with everything from marketing materials and brochures, to business cards. In fact, if any member of our team ever hands you their card, you can thank Dunn Right Printing! Kathy is currently working towards getting dually licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. Currently she serves as our marketing and business development director for the Tucson area. Kathy’s rich customer network and ability to strike up a conversation with just about anyone adds great value to our team!

Luke Slabaugh

Account Manager 

Luke Slabaugh has worked in employee benefits and individual insurance for 14+ years . Before he became an broker he worked with approximately 450 agents as a marketing rep. for one of the largest health insurance providers in the country. This experience gave him an insight into how pricing is managed as well as effective ways to get claims paid etc. When he became broker Luke was able to take the best practices of the agencies he had been working with to improve the overall experience of the clients he serves. Luke graduated from Bethel College with a degree in Business Management and Accounting. Served on the board of the Arizona Association of Health Underwriters. Luke has also started or helped run multiple businesses by filling various rolls such as accounting/payroll, purchasing, general partner etc. Understanding the industry from multiple angles can benefit our clientele financially as well as making the day-to-day management of benefits run as efficiently as possible. “Finding tangible solutions to today’s business challenges is very rewarding when done properly.”

Tom Mitchell

Tom Mitchell has a broad range of experience in management, customer service, retail sales and in the insurance industry. His time of 25 years in management and retail sales has given him the knowledge in understanding the customer’s needs and the employee benefits of a company. He has over 5 years experience working in the insurance industry. He has applied his communication and managerial skills to better understand the dynamics of the business market and their requirements for insurance. He has obtained a license in life and health, property and casualty. Tom is highly motivated to serve as an insurance agent to ensure that business clients receive the best and most effective insurance plan for their business’ needs.

Leslie Metz-Herdrich

Account Representative

Graduated from Ohio University with an AAS and a BS under Communications, Business/Management.  Have over 25 years working in media including radio, television, and print in on-air, sales, marketing and advertising.  Owner of a small ad agency,  Heads Above, for over 5 years, specializing in getting my clients found at the top of local search.  Wanted to help businesses save money in this economy so I got my Property & Casualty license to concentrate on workers compensation. In order to offer a more complete package for my clients, I will be getting my Health, Life and Disability license this month.  I have worked in human resources for a large company as a corporate trainer doing projects in many states.  It was a natural progression to move into insurance with Red Rock Financial.  In advertising/marketing, the better you understand a company and how it operates, the more effective you can be.  I feel that this experience with many different types of businesses will be of benefit to my clients struggling to make important, educated decisions on insurance.

Jack Gary Alspaugh

For the last 34 years Jack Alspaugh has be involved in the small business environment with a variety of responsibilities from a department supervisor to a regional manager. His skill set includes all aspects of organizing, managing and operational control of the business units he was responsible for. He has 20 years’ experience in the health care and financial field and for the last 10 years prior to moving to the Valley has operated his own business in Dallas TX.

Jack Alspaugh entered  the insurance field 11 years ago with AFLAC and liked the idea of being able to help businesses provide benefits to their employee’s and he almost immediately discovered an underserved market health benefits for small business. He decided to expand his agency to encompass the entire spectrum of health, life and disability benefits and with other professional association provide access to 401k’s, third party administration of Cobra, FSA’s, and 125 plans his focus is on small groups 2 to 100 lives. Today’s small business finds it very difficult to grow and retain personnel without some benefits and finding a plan that fits a budget is difficult. With his background in small business he has a unique understanding of both sides of this equation. As an independent broker he has access to over 75 carriers and is able to puts options together that fits almost any need.

Jack Alspaugh is licensed in AZ, NM, NV, TX, MI, OH, OKA, and KY; He is an active member in National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Greater Phoenix Association of Health Underwriters and   the Association of Health Insurance Advisors. He is a Past Chair of the Greater Phoenix Chamber Ambassadors Committee and serves on the Small Business leadership Council with the Chamber also a recent new member of the Phoenicians Committee. He volunteers almost year round to help the Susan G Komen 3 Day Breast Cancer walk that takes place here in Phoenix he also serves on the Advisory Board of Raising Special Kids and is on the Executive committee for MDA.  He moved Phoenix with his wife of 26 years 7 years ago and they have found the Valley to be an extraordinary place to live and work.

Steve Woods

Steve is a highly experienced insurance sales manager with expertise in training the financial community on marketing and sales. Steve has been successful in the automobile, finance and insurance industries and has a proven track record for effectively helping organizations and individuals increase income and achieve their financial goals. Steve is a respected consultant and an educator who has traveled throughout the US building teams and maximizing their potential. Steve is an expert in auto protection plans, underwriting, disability insurance, life insurance and investment services.

Steve also spent six years as a Special Agent with Northwestern Mutual Life as well as served as an Investment Officer with Robert W. Baird & Company. (Member of New York Stock Exchange and SIPC mutual funds, certificates of deposit and treasuries, serving Physician clients.)

Steve was instrumental in building a captive offshore reinsurance company and learned how to structure a non-controlled foreign corporation. Steve’s knowledge of insurance and risk management is diverse and extensive and adds significant value to the Red Rock Financial Group, Inc. family.

Steve and his wife recently moved to Arizona to enjoy the great lifestyle and continue his career in the insurance business with an emphasis on helping employers in the local community.

Andrew Poelman

President; Personal Lines Division; Bi-Lingual

Andrew has multiple years of experience in the personal lines (Home/Auto) insurance industry. Red Rock Financial Group, Inc. has recently created a new personal lines division focused on serving the individual and personal insurance needs of our clients. Andrew will be the head of that division and will oversee all of  Red Rock’s personal lines production. Andrew has run his own Allstate personal lines agency and most recently, built a strong book of business with Securities Insurance LLC in Mesa, AZ. We feel that adding a personal lines division to our agency will bring additional value to our clients and we have entrusted Andrew with the responsibility of owning and operating that portion of our firm.

Matt Gottesman is a website analyst/consultant who focuses on webpage blueprinting, SEO, SEM & Social Media Marketing for Red Rock Financial Group as well as a host of other Startups around the country. He plays an intricate role in developing our online presence which includes the way we interact with our clients, future business partners and amongst our team. Matt has a degree from the University of Arizona in International Business & Liberal Arts and is now attending Business school at Thunderbird School of Global Management to further embark on his Entrepreneurial ventures within Tech and Digital Startups.
