Homes For Hope
Homes of Hope International Organization was formed as a charitable organization to assist under privileged and at risk orphans in Kenya. Our vision is to provide food, shelter, a loving home and education to these children. HOHI Organization is the brainchild of Lucas and Lucy Muturi who were born and raised in Kenya and are now residents of the United States. With their vision of hope and your support in this project, the lives of many children will forever be changed. Homes of Hope International Organization is registered in the U.S. as a non-profit organization under the section 501(c)3 of the IRS code.
Mission Statement
The mission of Homes of Hope International Organization is to provide Education, Shelter and all of the basic needs of living to orphaned and displaced children while equipping them with the skills needed to become a productive and contributing member of their community in adulthood.
Values
HOHI Organization recognizes the great need to rescue children at risk and provide for them; helping to transition the children to a future that is full of hope. Our desire is to impact a generation who will be socially and culturally able to be productive adults and nation builders. The children are the hope of the world; we at HOHI Organization have a mission to transform their lives through, education, health and providing them a place for shelter.

Water
Water is life. And without it, not much can be done. Currently there is no running water at the site where the building will be constructed. So our immediate need is to have water so that we can serve the community and move into the next phase of the building project. Currently we must travel 3-5 miles to purchase clean water. There are people who can deliver water as well, however, this option is very expensive and not ideal. Read more
Donations
People have opened their hearts and are getting the vision. Running water, a clean facility, a school furnished with a clinic, clean clothes, a playground and a whole lot more for children who currently do not have any of this. The Building
We are planning to break ground in the second part of 2011 and currently fundraising to start construction. The Building will be much more than structured walls. It will be a home where orphaned children who have been left without parents, typically to the AIDS epidemic in Africa, can go and have all of their needs met. When they are of age and ready to leave the home, they will leave with a skill or trade in order to be a productive member of their community. Read more
Volunteers
As we grow we’d like to reach out to volunteers to help make events and fundraising drives happen. Whether you are highly skilled in a trade or just looking to volunteer your time, we have an opportunity for you. We are currently looking for volunteers for the a number of opportunities. Read more
Clothes
The average orphan only has 2 outfits that they wear daily. Being that they wear them so much they must clean them often and experience the clothes experience a lot of wear and tear. Clothing is very expensive in Kenya and many children do not have shoes. The ones that do have footwear use them so much they wear down very fast and do not last long.
